Zappostrophe’…dares to take on Zappa’s weird and wonderful world – recreating his tunes with jaw-dropping musicianship, and a wink to his irreverent humour

Zappostrophe’ is a Vancouver-based 8-piece band, playing favourites and lesser-known works from Frank Zappa’s eclectic recordings. We are all professional musicians with an eclectic mix of backgrounds and training – one thing we have in common is a love for the challenge of recreating (and re-imagining) Frank’s music.
We are excited to be returning to the Queen’s to share our fresh take on Zappa’s incredible repertoire with more Zappa fans on Vancouver Island.
Our shows include a variety of FZ’s music – from favourites like Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow and Montana to complex compositions like Inca Roads, with some high energy instrumentals to keep things interesting. Those that were at our last show will hear some new…
